Ex-Disney Execs Form New Firm: A new entertainment consulting company has been formed by a group of former Disney executives.
Leisure Entertainment Development & Operations International, based in Newport Beach, brings together four Disney veterans: Mel Cecil, Thor Degelmann, Michael King and Robert Risteen.
The company plans to work on every aspect of international theme park and entertainment center projects. “We are somewhat unique in that each of us has extensive, international experience in the disciplines required to take a project from idea to opening and beyond,” said Degelmann, a personnel specialist with 30 years’ experience.
