COLLEGE FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : UCLA : Can Stanford Get Jump on Lawrence?
Only a week after having to deal with Arizona receiver Richard Dice, who is 6 feet 2, UCLA’s Teddy Lawrence will be looking up again on Saturday. Make that farther up, at 6-6 Justin Armour, Stanford’s leading receiver.
Lawrence, a 5-9 cornerback, struggled with Dice, particularly on an eight-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter. Lawrence never had a chance on a perfectly thrown ball.
“That’s really the only place where the receiver has an advantage on me: at the goal line,” he said. “Any other place, I’m all right because I’m faster. If he gets a good jump and I get a good jump, he’s going to get the ball because he’s taller. But if his jump is just OK, I can deal with it.”

UCLA’s game at Arizona State on Nov. 12 will start at 7 p.m. PST, an hour later than scheduled, to accommodate ESPN.
