WHITTIER : School Board to Name New Member Today
- Share via
Whittier City School District officials are expected to fill a vacant seat on the board today.
The original list of seven applicants has been narrowed to three: Nelda Foder, a Whittier College clerk-typist, Francisco Hidalgo, a professor at Cal State San Bernardino, and Theodore Saulino, a special-education teacher in Garvey School District.
The post was left vacant by Rosaura A. Aguerrebere. She had served on the board since December and resigned Sept. 7 after her husband, Joseph, accepted a job with the Ford Foundation in New York City.
The new board member will serve until November, 1995, when the district will hold another election to decide who will serve the remaining two years of Aguerrebere’s term.
