COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Chapman Holds On to Beat Pomona-Pitzer

Chapman scored two first-half goals and made it stand up in a 2-1 victory over visiting Pomona-Pitzer in a nonconference men’s soccer game Monday.
Kevin Esparza and Armando Orizaba scored for Chapman (9-4-3).
In another nonconference game:
Pacific Christian 4, Caltech 2--Ryan Bean scored four goals, two in each half, for host Pacific Christian (12-2-2).
Bean, a sophomore from Kennedy High, has 44 goals this season.
