Disneyland Woos Latinos: Disneyland has been continually working to capture a larger share of Southern California’s large and growing Latino market.
To further that goal, the park today is going to be the site of a private taping of a Christmas television special featuring well-known Latino artists. The special is slated to be shown next month on the Univision Spanish-language television network.
The taping, scheduled after the park’s normal business hours, will feature artists like percussionist Tito Puente and singer Jose Feliciano. It will also include soap star Ricky Martin, Chayanne and Luis Enrique.
They will have a receptive audience: a group of about 300 was selected in advance to watch the taping from those who won tickets through radio station promotions.
