Terry A. Worsdell was named president of Matthews Studio Equipment Group. He will take over the newly created post Jan. 1 and also continue as chief financial officer. Previously, Worsdell was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Entrepreneur Media Inc.
Also, company founder Carlos De Mattos was named president of the newly created corporate development, mergers and acquisitions division. Previously, De Mattos was chief executive officer, a position that no longer exists. He remains co-chairman of the board with Edward Phillips, who started the company with him.
Burbank-based Matthews designs, sells and leases lighting and special-effects equipment for the movie industry.
