Golden West’s Streak in Volleyball Ends at 39

Golden West, which started the day with a 39-match winning streak, lost twice to Cerritos on Sunday in the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions.
The Rustlers (12-2), the top-ranked team in the state, lost to second-ranked Cerritos, 7-15, 15-2, 15-3, 15-10, in the championship match.
Cerritos ended Golden West’s streak in the winners’ bracket final with a 12-15, 15-13, 15-9, 15-8 victory.
Golden West’s Vanessa Dahl and Christine Heims were named to the all-tournament team.
