* What Happened Sunday: Democrat Kathleen Brown addressed the state council of the California Teachers Assn. in Burlingame, lashing out at Republican Pete Wilson as a “career politician” and for his support of Proposition 187, the ballot measure that would bar illegal immigrants from receiving state-financed health and education benefits. Wilson had no public events.
