At Least 2 Killed in Gang Shootout

At least two people were reported killed and seven others critically or seriously wounded in what police characterized as a gang-related shooting in South-Central Los Angeles late Sunday night.
Newton Division officers said the shootout at 53rd Street and Towne Avenue involved handguns and at least one shotgun.
Police had no further details available.
