Roxette, “Crash! Boom! Bang!,”(***) EMI. As they’ve done with ABBA and the Carpenters, rock music’s intelligentsia 10 years from now are sure to embrace this impossibly un-hip Swedish pair and their kicky melodies, sublimely silly lyrics, stinging guitar and bald teen appeal. On their fourth album, Per Gessle and Marie Fredriksson have evolved not a whit, turning out more deliciously overwrought ballads, bubblegum and great almost-grunge.
