Garritson’s Time Fastest of the Day

Buena Park freshman Heather Garritson posted the fastest time of the day, running 17 minutes 49 seconds over a hilly three-mile course to win the Division III race at the Mt. San Antonio Invitational Friday.
Corona del Mar’s Tracy Clark, who won the county title last week, finished fourth in 18:33.
The Newport Harbor and Corona del Mar boys’ teams finished third and fourth in the Division III competition. The Sea Kings were led by an eighth-place finish from senior Brian Slingsby (16:09).
