COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Golden West Wins in Men’s Soccer

Alex Gimenez and Allen Buhler each scored second-half goals to lead Golden West to its first Orange Empire Conference men’s soccer victory, 3-2, over host Fullerton Friday.
The goals gave the Rustlers (4-8-1, 1-3-1) a 3-1 lead over second-place Fullerton. Chad Lawson scored the other Golden West goal. Kyle Mears and D.J. Buckely scored for Fullerton (5-4-2, 3-2-1).
In other Orange Empire Conference men’s soccer:
Irvine Valley 4, Orange Coast 0--Jason Felix had five saves and recorded his third shutout of the season for host Irvine Valley (6-5-2, 2-3). Carlos Rodriguez had 10 saves for Orange Coast (6-4-2, 2-3).
Rancho Santiago 5, Cypress 1--Max Monroy scored two goals for visiting Rancho Santiago (10-1-2, 5-0).
