Cherry Textron: The Santa Ana firm has announced that it will move about 150 jobs in its commercial automotive operations to North Carolina over the next two years to reduce the costs of shipping its parts to car factories in Ohio, Michigan and Kentucky.
Michael Kanda, Cherry’s director of human resources, said Friday that the company does not yet know how many workers will be offered transfers to North Carolina. It hopes to expand its aerospace work at the plant to absorb employees who wish to remain, he said.
