The condition of Peter Forlano of Notre Dame High is improving, but the player remains hospitalized after undergoing brain surgery last week, Forlano’s mother said.
Forlano, a starting senior tackle, was admitted to St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank on Oct. 7 after experiencing dizziness, numbness of the right arm and blurred vision.
Doctors determined that Forlano was struck by a severe bacterial sinus infection, Alice Forlano said. But he has regained movement of his arm and his condition continues to improve.
Westlake High receiver Billy Miller said doctors prescribed a few days of rest for his sore left knee, but he expects to play in Friday’s key Marmonte League game against Royal. Miller injured his knee last week against Newbury Park.
