Fullerton 3, Troy 1--Nadia Hoerner had 28 kills as Fullerton (5-5, 3-2) won, 15-11, 15-6, 12-15, 15-7.
In the Pacific Coast League:
Laguna Beach 3, Estancia 0--Rose Kuhn had eight kills for third-ranked Laguna Beach, which won, 15-4, 15-1, 15-2.
In the Sea View League:
Newport Harbor 3, Irvine 1--Misty May had 13 kills to lead top-ranked Newport Harbor (9-0, 5-0) to a 15-5, 15-2, 12-15, 15-0 victory.
In the Sunset League:
Edison 3, Marina 2--Shelby Clemens had 16 kills as second-ranked Edison rallied for a 11-15, 15-7, 7-15, 15-6, 15-11 victory. Edison is 11-0, 5-0 and Marina is 5-6, 1-4.
Huntington Beach 3, Los Alamitos 0--Melissa Wendt had 23 kills for fourth-ranked Huntington Beach, which won, 15-13, 15-5, 15-11.
Esperanza 3, Fountain Valley 0--Kristy Kierulff and Amy Nihipali had 13 kills each as Esperanza (5-4, 3-2) beat 10th-ranked Fountain Valley, 15-1, 15-11, 15-3.
In the South Coast League:
Mater Dei 3, Capistrano Valley 0--Roberta Gehlke had 20 kills for eighth-ranked Mater Dei, which won, 15-8, 15-13, 15-11. Gehlke also had five aces and served for 10 consecutive points in the first game.
In Century League girls’ tennis:
Villa Park 17, Santa Ana Valley 1--Katie Becker did not lose a game at singles for visiting Villa Park (10-1, 6-0), ranked seventh.
Canyon 13, Foothill 5--Kim Westermann lost one game in sweeping singles for host Canyon (12-2, 5-2), the ninth-ranked team in Orange County.
In the Empire League:
El Dorado 17, Loara 1--Brittany McMillan and Susan Suraprudik remain undefeated in league doubles play by sweeping their sets, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, for eighth-ranked El Dorado (14-5, 7-0).
In the Golden West League:
Saddleback 16, Santa Ana 2--Thao Huynh, playing her first varsity singles match this season, won, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, for host Saddleback (7-1, 5-1).
In the Sea View League:
Woodbridge 12, Santa Margarita 6--Natalie Exon and Alyssa Artunian won in singles for host Woodbridge (12-3, 4-2).
In the South Coast League:
Mater Dei 13, Capistrano Valley 5--Melissa Walker and Sarah Jarrett swept in doubles, 6-4, 6-2, 6-0, for visiting Mater Dei (6-6, 3-2).
Dana Hills 16, San Clemente 2--Freshman Lara Spica swept, 7-6, 6-1, 6-1, for sixth-ranked Dana Hills (9-3, 5-0), which moved into first place with the victory over second-place San Clemente (4-1).
In the Sunset League:
Los Alamitos 14, Huntington Beach 4--Michelle Schneider and Alison Miller swept at doubles, 6-0, 6-2, 6-1, for second-ranked Los Alamitos (13-1).
Edison 16, Marina 2--Darcey McAndress and Cherissa Drumm swept at doubles, 6-3, 6-1, 6-4, for Edison (9-5, 5-1), ranked 10th in Division II.
In nonleague water polo:
San Clemente 14, Servite 12--Jim Farley scored four goals and Jordan Hewko added three for visiting and second-ranked San Clemente (18-2), which outscored Servite, 4-2, in the fourth quarter. Servite is 15-5.
