A 14-year-old boy remained hospitalized Tuesday after being wounded by gunfire in a Garden Grove pool hall, police said.
Police, who withheld the boy’s name, said he was hit at least once in the head Monday night when a man opened fire with a small-caliber handgun inside the Paris Billiard Cafe in the 10000 block of Garden Grove Boulevard.
The boy was listed in stable condition at UCI Medical Center in Orange, police said.
Lt. John Woods said four men in a van pulled up in front of the billiards hall about 8:15 p.m. Monday. Two men ran inside and one of them fired the shots with a semiautomatic weapon, Woods said.
Police were investigating the incident as gang-related, Woods said. He said police believe the boy was not the intended target of the attack, but investigators had not determined who was.
