OXNARD : New Gym Complex to Open at College

Oxnard College is inviting students, teachers and other county residents to a ceremony Tuesday to mark the opening of the school’s new physical education complex.
Besides a gymnasium, the 60,000-square-foot building includes racquetball courts, a weight room, dance studio and classrooms.
Oxnard College officials said they completed parts of the new building ahead of schedule to accommodate Cameroon’s National Soccer Team, which trained in Oxnard for this summer’s World Cup tournament.
The opening ceremony will be at 1 p.m. at the physical education complex at North Campus Road and Simpson Drive.
