Standard Pacific Corp.: The Costa Mesa-based home builder said its third-quarter profit rose to $2.1 million, or seven cents a share, from $29,000, or less than one cent a share, a year ago. Revenue was up 58%, to $111.6 million from $70.7 million. The company posted a 73% increase in profit for the nine-month period, to $3.8 million, or 12 cents a share, from $2.2 million, or seven cents a share. The 1993 third quarter included a gain of $858,000 from an accounting change. Revenue increased to $298.2 million from $193.2 million.
