Parretti Seeks Court Deal to Return to U.S.: Italian financier Giancarlo Parretti wants a Delaware court to grant him bail when the former MGM owner returns to stand trial on charges of tampering with evidence in a 1992 court case. Parretti must resolve the Delaware case to pursue his own fraud suit against Credit Lyonnais, the French bank that bought MGM for $500 million after Parretti fled to Europe to avoid a Delaware arrest warrant. Parretti still hopes to reclaim control of the history-rich film company.
