British GE Plans $4-Billion Offer For British Aerospace: The conglomerate is weighing an unsolicited takeover offer a week after British Aerospace agreed to buy submarine maker VSEL, according to the Sunday Times of London. If British Aerospace rejects the advance, British General Electric, which is not affiliated with the American GE, is expected to make a counter offer for VSEL, the paper said.
