‘Speaking Out’ Writer Had ‘Little to Say’

Alan Lapointe (“Some Fears About Living in L.A. Are Fruitless” Speaking Out, Oct. 2):

--Reveals a bundle of unresolved prejudices in such statements as “real estate types will ooze,” “Peruvian woman who brayed incessantly,” “Armenian family who loudly embraced life” and “matter-of-fact approach to gay life does take me by surprise.”

--Cannot take the trouble to find out what community he lives in, even though it has a direct effect on his property value.

--Has very little to say.
