Why Can’t Clippers Postpone the Season?
I am sick about the baseball strike. The hockey strike, too, is very distressing.
But what upsets me most is the failure of the NBA players to initiate a work action. After all, as an 11-year Clipper season ticket-holder, I am less than enthusiastic about the start of the season and I was hoping I wouldn’t have to go.
With a 300-plus-pound Stanley Roberts, the Clippers’ typical inability to sign their draft picks, the departure of several key starters and their failure to complete any significant trades, this team will be lucky to win 15 games.
With an organization like this, a strike looks like the only way to avoid another disappointing season.

This ex-Clipper fan had to read a recent article twice because Stanley Roberts, the Benoit Benjamin of the ‘90s, actually said that he wanted to be to L.A. what Magic Johnson and Kareem have been.
My only question is, is it possible to die from uncontrollable laughter?
