Matsushita, MCA Execs to Meet: The president of Matsushita, which owns MCA, and the Hollywood studio’s chairman, Lew Wasserman, will meet next week to discuss an MCA plan to buy back some of its shares from the Tokyo-based consumer electronics company, Japan’s Jiji Press wire service said. The discussions come after former Walt Disney Co. studio chief Jeffrey Katzenberg and music executive David Geffen--who announced they will form a new studio along with Steven Spielberg--said they may support MCA’s effort to buy back some of its shares.
