A series of free forums on candidates and propositions on the Nov. 8 ballot are scheduled throughout the San Gabriel Valley, including the following:
* Today, 2 p.m., ballot propositions, sponsored by the League of Women Voters; San Rafael Branch Library, 1240 Nithsdale Road, Pasadena.
* Sunday, 3 p.m., sponsored by the League of Women Voters; 28th Congressional District candidates, 54th Assembly District candidates, Three Valley Municipal Water District candidates; Taylor Hall, 1775 N. Indian Hill Blvd., Claremont.
* Monday, 6 p.m., Proposition 186 health insurance proposal by a panel of doctors; Huntington Memorial Hospital, 100 W. California Blvd., Pasadena.
* Tuesday, 7 p.m., League of Women Voters candidate forum for 60th Assembly District; Walnut City Council chambers, 21201 La Puente Road.
* Wednesday, 2 p.m., politically neutral forum on Proposition 186 Health Security Act moderated by an Assembly field representative; Alhambra Retirement Community, 2400 S. Fremont Ave., Alhambra.
* Wednesday, 7 p.m., ballot propositions, sponsored by the League of Women Voters; Donald R. Wright Auditorium, Pasadena Public Library, 285 E. Walnut St.
* Wednesday, 7:30 p.m., ballot propositions, sponsored by League of Women Voters; Whittier City Council chambers, 13230 E. Penn St.
* Oct. 24, 7 p.m., League of Women Voters candidate forum for the 28th Congressional District; West Covina City Council chambers, 1444 W. Garvey Ave.
* Oct. 26, 7 p.m., ballot propositions, sponsored by the League of Women Voters; West Covina City Council chambers, 1444 W. Garvey Ave.
* Oct. 27, 11 a.m., ballot propositions, sponsored by the League of Women Voters; Linda Vista Branch Library, 1281 Bryant St., Pasadena.
* Nov. 2, 10:30 a.m., ballot propositions, sponsored by the League of Women Voters; Wright Auditorium, Pasadena Public Library, 285 E. Walnut St.
