SEASON AT A GLANCE: Mortensen, who finished fifth in the 3,200 meters in the State track and field championships in June, has won four of five races this season.

WEEK AT A GLANCE: Mortensen won two races last week, including Saturday’s South Valley Invitational at Huntington Beach Central Park. She timed 18 minutes 33 seconds over the three-mile course, good for a 40-second victory, and propelled Thousand Oaks, the No. 1-ranked team in the state, to a runaway victory. “Individually, I haven’t really set any particular goals for myself this season,” Mortensen said. “But as a team, we want to finish first in (the State Division I championships).”
