Jacobsen Opts for San Diego

Crescenta Valley High shooting guard Brock Jacobsen said Tuesday he will sign a letter of intent to play basketball for former Falcon Brad Holland at the University of San Diego.
Jacobsen, who averaged 21 points a game last year and led the Falcons to the Southern Section Division I-AA championship game, will sign Nov. 9, the first day of the NCAA early signing period.
He chose San Diego over Loyola Marymount and Pacific, where his brother, Adam, plays. Jacobsen said he decided that San Diego was the best fit for him because of his relationship with Holland, who became the Torero coach last month after Hank Egan took a job with the San Antonio Spurs.
