Volleyball/Setter
Astarabadi, from University High, came to Golden West after playing very little last season at Colorado State. She has quickly established herself as one of the top setters in Southern California. Astarabadi was outstanding last weekend, leading the Rustlers to the title in the College of the Sequoias tournament. She had 148 assists, 16 aces and 15 blocks as Golden West swept through the tournament. The Rustlers were 8-0 in pool play, then won four consecutive best-of-three matches Sunday.
Cross-country
Erin Remy
* Orange Coast, sophomore. Remy continued her strong season with a fourth-place finish among 150 runners Friday at the Irvine Invitational.
Volleyball
Becca Foltz
* Golden West, sophomore. Foltz, an outside hitter, was selected to all-tournament team at the College of the Sequoias tournament.
