Delta to Stay at LAX Site: The carrier said it reached an agreement with Los Angeles International Airport officials that will keep more than 900 workers, mainly reservations and customer service agents, at Delta Air Lines’ city-owned facility on Century Boulevard. Delta, which is undergoing a massive cost-cutting effort, had said it was considering leaving unless it could strike an acceptable rent deal. The agreement calls for Delta’s lease to remain in force until early 1998, but the annual rent--estimated at $600,000--will in effect be cut because both sides will look for other parties to sublease space on the site. A Delta spokesman said the carrier is “very pleased to be able to keep the jobs where they are.”
