Lindsay Weiss
Laguna Beach, Junior
Tennis/Singles
It’s not easy to make yourself stand out when you play singles for a team such as top-ranked Laguna Beach, but last week Weiss was the Artists’ best. She was the only Laguna Beach singles player to win all nine of her sets in victories over Aliso Niguel, Dana Hills, ranked No. 7 in Division I, and North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake, ranked No. 8 in Division II. Weiss beat Laura Spica of Dana Hills, 6-4, and Romy Mehlman of Harvard, 7-5. “Lindsay’s a real fighter,” Laguna Beach Coach Bob Walton said. “She’ll go out there and give it her all.” She improved to 30-6 for the season.
