Abused, abandoned and neglected children will benefit from more than $35,000 raised by the Camarillo Rotary Clubs in a golf tournament.
Leaders of the city’s two Rotary clubs will present a check at noon on Wednesday to Casa Pacifica, a residential children’s crisis care center in Camarillo, officials at the center said.
Casa Pacifica officials said the money was raised by 110 golfers in July at the second annual “Care for Kids Golf Classic,” which included a dinner and an auction.
The Rotary clubs have pledged $250,000 to help build a library and learning center at the newly opened center.
