Wahlco Environmental Systems Inc.: The firm said Monday that it has recently won contracts totaling about $15 million.
Government-run electric power companies in Taiwan, Korea, Indonesia and Egypt ordered about $13 million worth of equipment to control the flow of exhaust gases, a Wahlco spokeswoman said.
The company said it also received $2 million in orders from North American utility companies for systems to treat gases from coal-fired generators, plus commitments for another $1.6 million in equipment.
Wahlco, based in Santa Ana, provides air pollution control and power efficiency equipment and related services to electric utilities, cogeneration plants, petrochemical refineries and industrial manufacturers.
