Bennett Paces Simi Valley, 24-20

SIMI VALLEY — Quarterback Tim Bennett threw for two touchdowns and ran for another to lead Simi Valley to a 24-20 victory over Thousand Oaks Friday night in a Marmonte League game at Simi Valley High.
Bennett completed 18 of 24 passes for 228 yards for Simi Valley (4-0-1, 2-0 in league play).
Bennett directed the game-winning, 80-yard drive in six plays. He connected with Chris Miller on a 33-yard pass play with 7 minutes 58 seconds left.
Thousand Oaks (1-4, 0-2) took a 20-17 lead early in the fourth quarter when Frank Coletta scored on a three-yard run.
