St. Monica 31, Calabasas 21--Calabasas scored on its first three possessions, but gave up the last 24 points to fall at Palisades High.
The Coyotes (1-4) were held to 194 yards, and only 12 in the second half.
Running back Jeremy Kline scored on a 48-yard run on the Coyotes’ first possession and finished with 65 yards in eight carries. Quarterback Patrick Smith scored on runs of six yards and one yard. Smith completed six of 19 for 132 yards with two interceptions.
St. Monica (4-1) was led by quarterback Steve Pulley and wide receiver Dwight Carter, who combined for three touchdown passes covering 43, 50 and 68 yards. Pulley completed 12 of 22 passes for 297 yards and four touchdowns.
