Hesperia 21, Palmdale 13--Hesperia’s Ryan Brown intercepted a Johnny Gillespie pass to end a Palmdale comeback late in the fourth quarter to lead Hesperia (2-3) at Palmdale (0-5).
Hesperia led, 21-7, in the fourth quarter when Jamel White caught a nine-yard scoring pass from Gillespie on a fourth-down play.
Nick Olivera gained 121 yards in 15 carries for Palmdale. Gillespie completed seven of 13 passes for 74 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. He also gained 48 yards in four carries, with a one-yard touchdown in the second quarter.
T.J. Hilliard of Hesperia gained 98 yards in 21 carries and scored once.
