LOS ANGELES : Firm Replaces Students’ Stolen Office Equipment

Two days after a theft of $8,000 in business equipment from their Crenshaw High School office threatened to derail a group of students’ food-growing company, Ticketmaster presented the students with a check Friday to pay for the loss.
L.A. City Councilman Mark Ridley-Thomas, whose district includes Crenshaw, solicited the donation after reading news reports about the theft.
“These are budding scholars and good citizens, and that deserves acknowledgment, deserves support and deserves a response when they are unfairly disadvantaged,” Ridley-Thomas said.
