Crenshaw High School students who run a campus-based, food-growing company asked for the public’s help Thursday after more than $8,000 worth of business equipment was discovered missing from their office.
The equipment, belonging to Food From the ‘Hood, an innovative enterprise started three years ago at Crenshaw High, included two complete computer systems, a camcorder, a fax machine and a laser printer, student-owner Charo Darwin said.
The equipment had the etched initials F.F.T.H. along with the company phone number, she said. Most crucial were the computers, which held a program to help students prepare for the Scholastic Aptitude Test, which is being administered Saturday.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Street Division, (213) 485-4162.
