O.C. Megadealers: Orange County is home to two of the 100 largest auto dealership chains in the country, according to Auto Age/Dealer Business magazine.
The trade journal’s annual listing of the nation’s megadealers ranks Irvine’s Tuttle-Click Automotive Group, with 10 dealerships in California and Arizona, at No. 16. Tuttle-Click franchises moved 13,512 new cars in 1993 and had revenue of $453.3 million for all operations.
Wilson Automotive Group in Orange, with four dealerships, ranked 53rd nationally, with 11,047 new-car sales and revenue of $241.1 million.
The nation’s top dealer: Morse Operations Inc. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
