O.J. II: The O.J. Simpson case has the wax museum people interested. A wax Simpson replica, resplendent in his No. 32 football uniform, has long been a popular fixture at the Movieland Wax Museum in Buena Park. It will soon be joined by a second wax Simpson, this one older, in coat and tie--as if ready for court. . . . “We’ll have the older O.J. looking pensively back at the other O.J.,” says museum director Mark Edwards. Target date for an opening: Oct. 12.

CRYSTAL POWER: The Rev. Robert H. Schuller’s “Hour of Power” TV ministry spans the globe, so he’s used to large audiences. But the size of the crowd Monday in Korea may be hard to top: The Garden Grove minister spoke to 1 million people gathered at Seoul’s Yoido Square for a Christian conference. . . . “Have you ever seen a million people at once?” says an amazed Michael Nason, an assistant accompanying Schuller and his wife, Arvella.

SLAMMING SMOKE: The county’s Tobacco Use Prevention Program is trying to get out its anti-smoking message any way it can--even catching youngsters at play. . . . TROV USA, a producer of those pog milk caps that schoolchildren slam after school, has produced 50,000 of them for the county, with anti-smoking messages. . . . Says Nancy Robins of the county group: “We’re trying to hit that preteen market, where they’re surrounded by pressure to begin smoking.” The anti-smoking caps will be given away free at local pog tournament events.

DAN DAYS: It will be a busy time in Orange County this week for presidential hopeful Dan Quayle. Wednesday, he speaks at a CARE event at the Robert Mondavi Wine & Food Center in Costa Mesa. Chairing the private relief group’s dinner will be Taco Bell President Kenneth T. Stevens. . . . Thursday night, Quayle will be the recipient of the first J. Danforth Quayle Family Statesman Award--named after him--at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim. That comes from the Orange-based American Family Living organization.
