Public libraries in Ojai, Meiners Oaks and Oak View are seeking volunteers to help shelve books and refurbish well-worn covers.
Volunteers must be able to file numerically and alphabetically, and are asked to work two to four hours a week for 12 weeks. Volunteers also must be able to pull a book cart.
Anyone interested in learning more about public libraries and helping to maintain book collections should call Trish Cavanaugh, community relations manager with the county Library Services Agency, at 652-7517.
Prospective volunteers may also visit their local library and speak with the volunteer supervisor.
