Costa Mesa Police Seek Clues in Fatal Stabbing

COSTA MESA — A man found dead on a sidewalk Saturday night had been fatally stabbed, police said Sunday.
The victim, a Latino adult who was not identified pending notification of his family, was found at 11 p.m. by a pedestrian walking near the intersection of Wallace Avenue and James Street in a residential area in the city’s southwest, police Sgt. Rich Bell said.
No weapon was found, Bell said, and police know of no motive or witnesses.
