Cecilia Bartoli Cancels Escondido Recital

Mezzo-soprano Cecilia Bartoli canceled her appearance today as the first season’s opening attraction at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido on the advice of her physician.
Bartoli’s recital has been rescheduled for Feb. 9. Tickets for today’s event will be honored then, a center official said.
A source said Bartoli caught cold Thursday from the air conditioning at Carnegie Hall.
The San Diego Symphony played a preview orchestral performance at the center Sept. 24.
