MOORPARK : Man, 26, Dies After Fall in Ditch Last Weekend

A 26-year-old Moorpark man died Saturday from head injuries he sustained last weekend after falling into a concrete drainage ditch in Moorpark, Ventura County coroner’s officials said.
Rafael Soto hit his head when he slipped and fell Sept. 25 while trying to climb out of the concrete-lined Arroyo Simi Flood Control Channel that cuts through the city, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
Soto, who was conscious when officers first arrived at the scene, later fell into unconsciousness, a Simi Valley Hospital spokeswoman said.
