Pedestrian Struck at Intersection Dies

WESTMINSTER — A 64-year-old man was struck by a van and killed Friday evening, apparently as he tried to cross the street.
The victim, whose identity was being withheld Saturday pending notification of relatives, had been walking east, across Bushard Avenue at Bird Avenue at 6:52 p.m. when he was hit by the van, which was traveling south on Bushard.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said no charges would be filed against the driver of the van.
