BellSouth to Announce Video Trial: The Atlanta-based regional Bell operating company will work with Oracle Systems Corp., Hewlett-Packard Co. and Scientific Atlanta in a video trial involving more than 10,000 homes in the Atlanta area, people familiar with the project said. All of the local telephone companies are working on ways to offer video services, and BellSouth is the last of the so-called Baby Bells to unveil its strategy. Spokesmen for the companies involved declined to comment pending an upcoming announcement.
