A Honeymoon in Cyberspace?

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something high-tech: That’s the formula for Cassandra Lehman and Chris Thorne’s wedding. The Silicon Valley couple will marry Thursday via videoconference, saying their vows to each other in New York and to a judge in California.
The techno-rite is a natural for the pair. Lehman, 29, teaches computer art at a university, and Thorne, 34, is president of a firm that sets up audiovisual displays for other companies.
The New York setting for the ceremony will be a computer trade show. If the sight of her walking among the expo’s booths in a wedding dress doesn’t turn heads, the accordionist might.
“It’s all really part of our lives, but the ceremony remains the same,” Lehman said. “We wouldn’t do this if it wasn’t fun.”
