I have some practical suggestions regarding the American Civil Liberties Union honoring “guerrilla artist” Robbie Conal at the Brentwood home of Betty and Stanley K. Sheinbaum (“ACLU Honors,” Morning Report, June 11):
I recommend, seeing how fond the ACLU and the Sheinbaums are of Conal’s “art,” that they submit themselves to his plastering his efforts free of charge on their property any time he likes, just like Conal has done on the buildings, traffic signals and other public and private property in Los Angeles. Of course, they will also agree to leave it there for months as it weathers and becomes more unsightly than it was in the first place. It’s all for the noble cause of free speech, after all.
