Hal Steele has been appointed director of production for the Western regional office of Column Financial Inc. He will work in the Irvine office of the Atlanta-based commercial mortgage company. Steel was formerly a vice president for Travelers Realty Investment Co. and, before that, was regional vice president for Mutual of New York.
