The One That Got Away Doesn’t Quite Get Away

You wouldn’t want to see the one that got away. It’s rotting in the trash.
An angler at Green Valley Lake in the San Bernardino Mountains apparently had quite a struggle with an unusually large trout last Friday, but the fish managed to break the line.
It later surfaced--belly up. Lake employee Jerry Eaker scooped it up, brought it in, weighed it in at 11 pounds, then disposed of it.
“We double-wrapped it and threw it in the dumpster,” concession owner Jim Allison said. “It must have put up enough of a fight that it croaked.”
