40 Girls Killed in Blaze at Tanzanian High School

DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania — Forty girls were killed in a blaze at their high school in Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro region in the foothills of Africa’s highest mountain, local officials said Monday.
The fire Saturday gutted a dormitory and two other buildings at the school.
