White Sox starter Scott Sanderson, who stuck out his glove in self-defense and caught Chili Davis’ screaming line drive in the second inning: “If I hadn’t caught that ball, I wouldn’t have thrown another pitch. I’m real glad I caught that. I would have been real happy knocking it down with anything besides my face.”
